I'm often asked how I began formulating skincare...

I'm Angelina, a research obsessed scientist and herbalist.

More gritty-outdoorsy than girly, I'm just as happy disappearing deep into the wilderness or wildharvesting herbs as I am playing in the lab. Often covered in dirt, with a few bruises and scratches, happily tired from a recent adventure in the desert or mountains, I don't really fit the mold of the "beauty industry CEO" - and I'm good with that.

I read five books at once, bouncing from one to the next, depending on my mental capacity at the moment- science, history, a good novel, ecology and medicine are my typical fodder. I speak terrible Spanish and visit Mexico every year, where my heart is happy. Here in Central Oregon, my husband and I are working on regenerating several acres of neglected land, bringing it back to life with native plants, watching the wildlife return and flourish. I ride my e-bike out there weekly, through hours and miles of farmland, always finding inspiration on the way. Someday soon we'll finish our log cabin and live there full-time. I want to live close to the land always, with my toes in the warm soft dirt, my nose full of the smells of the plants growing.

On work days, I'm at the computer, researching ingredients, formulas, farms, new developments in solutions to common and uncommon skin conditions. Taking photos of our products and ingredients. Maintaining our online store. Writing articles for our Journal. Creating videos. Consulting with customers about their unique skin needs. Working with our small and amazing team. And always envisioning new and better formulas for you, my loves, to keep your skin glowing and healthy.
