Exciting Change is Happening at aos!

Dear Friends,

As I sit down to write this, my heart is full. Nearly three decades ago, I started aos Skincare, determined to solve skin problems for my family and my own very sensitive skin. I had just a handful of botanicals and essential oils, a deep reverence for the earth and a dream: to create something that would nurture and heal our skin while respecting our health and our Earth. What began as an intimate labor of love in my tiny kitchen has grown into something far more beautiful than I ever imagined - a community and many wonderful friendships. 

Now, it’s time for a new chapter in the story of aos. As you know, change has always been a big part of my life- I love to welcome newness and shake things up. After 20+ years of running our small family business, I’m passing the torch of leadership to Elisa Wiley with immense trust and confidence. Elisa, our General Manager, has worked by my side for many years and this transition has already been a few years in the making. Elisa is, in my opinion, the best person (and the only person!) I trust to be our new CEO, to maintain the exacting quality and standards that you've come to expect from aos and the nurturing care that has made us not just a business, but a caring community.

But I want you to know this: I’m not leaving quite yet. Instead, I’m choosing to do fewer things better, stepping back from the many administrative duties required of a small business, so I can devote more of my energy to what I love most: formulating deeply nurturing, effective skincare, connecting with farmers and sourcing the best ingredients, and sharing all the goodness with you through emails, and our online Journal - and to growing my own herbs!

To each of you who has supported aos over the years: thank you. Your trust and loyalty have made all of this possible. You’ve invited us into your homes and your daily rituals, and because of you, aos has become so much more than a skincare company — it’s a living expression of connection, care, and community.

Though I’m shifting my focus, my heart remains deeply tied to aos and to all of you. I’ll continue to pour my love and energy into the work that inspires me most, while cheering on Elisa as she carries us forward in her strong and capable arms.

This isn’t goodbye — it’s simply a continuation of the dream that began nearly thirty years ago, now blooming into its next season with new energy, vision, and possibility.
